It is almost time to start thinking about Thanksgiving Day. It is a cherished Canadian holiday that allows us to give thanks for all our blessings that have happened during the past year and all the good things life has brought throughout the year as well. Here in Canada, we celebrate our Thanksgiving on the second Monday in October and it is such a beautiful time of the year with all our Fall colours.

Thanksgiving Day is a very important day for spending time with family, distant relatives and friends. The dinner for the holiday is generally the focus point of the day and of course, the Thanksgiving table is the most important element when everyone sits down to enjoy the feast.
Decorating your Thanksgiving table simply but with elegance is easy and fun!
Picking the right colours for your centerpiece is very important too. You can use tall, glass vases filled with mini pumpkins or get really creative and spray paint your pumpkins different colours as a centerpiece. Also lots of colourful candles look great or a tall glass container filled with bright red cranberries and fresh flowers.
The ideas are endless and fun!
Aside from the traditional turkey or ham main course, get creative with your Thanksgiving side dishes and add different vegetables and salads than you would normally do. Stylish decoration ideas for your thanksgiving table will add elegance and fun for all your guests. Setting the table doesn’t require any special skills, it just needs creative ideas to make your holiday table extra special.
Check out Google and Pinterest for fantastic ideas for a great centerpiece.
For an intimate, smaller gathering, a candle light dinner can be the way to go. If you want your Thanksgiving dinner to reflect eating in a fine dining restaurant, use your best fine china and crystal-ware with ivory linen napkins. Of course, the favourite and easiest centerpiece is always fresh flower decorations but I like to be more creative and do something really special for my table.
Whatever you choose, have fun with it and enjoy the holiday with your family and friends.
